
David A. McQueen, MDDavid A. McQueen, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in total joint replacement.
Dr. McQueen earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Returning stateside, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency in Wichita at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He continued his postgraduate medical education as the M.A.C. fellow in Total Joint Arthroplasty at the University of Colorado in Denver.
In addition to being a partner of Kansas Joint and Spine Institute, Dr. McQueen is Professor of Surgery (Orthopaedics) and Program Director at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. An active and well-respected researcher in the field of joint replacement, Dr. McQueen has published numerous articles and shared the results of his research through professional presentations both in the United States and abroad. His area of current research interest is in computerized Total Joint Arthroplasty. Dr. McQueen is also the founder and medical director of the Orthopaedic Research Institute (ORI) at Via Christi-St Francis Regional Medical Center. He is also active with several community boards.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. McQueen belongs to several prestigious professional organizations including the American Association of Arthritic Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and is an elected member of the American Orthopaedic Association.
